Sam & Wayne share their love at Oldwalls, Gower, Swansea, South Wales, UK.
We had a phone call from Sam a couple of weeks before their big day, due to the wedding photographer they had booked letting them down – much to our joy as this couple & little one , are a pleasure to know & fantastic fun to be around! We arrived on a gorgeous sunny morning at Oldwalls the unique five star resort, hidden seductively in the welsh country side, here on the Gower, South Wales. Greeted by Wayne & the boys looked excited & feeling a little fragile from the celebrations the night before – mainly the guy with the sore toe!! All the girls looked stunning & relaxed as I (Mel) popped in to do Sam’s bridal preparations – dressed in t-shirts to help know who’s who & adding to the fun – sipping bubbles. Sam’s mum helped Sam into her amazing dress as the girls waited in anticipation (none had seen the dress yet!) to see their bestie dressed in her finest – on entering the room expressions were priceless & woo wee did our ‘bride to be’ look like a movie star!!
Wayne & the boys all dressed beautifully – looking dapper waited nervously as the guests filled the Oakroom & the harpist did her magic creating calm, lovely music! Tears of joy & laughter, giggles & happiness filled the room as Sam & Wayne became Mr & Mrs W. After the confetti tumbled down, off they popped into the VW camper-van to Weobley Castle for some alone time & solo photo shoot.
The wedding breakfast & speeches went off without a hitch in the marquee & yet again filled with much fun & laughter. Marryoke & a photobooth was set up from Ultrabooth for after breakfast entertainment & drinks were enjoyed in the lush, superb gardens overlooking the lake as group photographs took place. As the sun went down evening guests arrived to witness Mr & Mrs W’s first dance – which may I add was spectacular, starting as a slow number turning into a choreographed dance routine by Sam & Wayne, then joined by the bridesmaids to an amalgamation of dance music. Absolutely fantastic! To end the celebrations with a big bang, a beautiful fireworks display over the lake took place to wish our newlyweds all the love & happiness in their new chapter as husband & wife…
An absolute pleasure & reason why Rob & I (Mel) love our job, as we had the honour of capturing & telling Sam & Wayne’s wedding day story through the vision of our eyes! Thanks guys for letting us share a selection of your images & being such a splendid couple to work with.
Wishing you all the very best & a great life together always x
